Assembly of the Sacred Hut
A gathering of the Superior Chiefs of the Sawa cantons to invoke peace and bless the offerings. A closed-door ceremony.

🌊 Cult of the Water Oracles — Central Ritual
The initiated diver submerges into the Wouri to meet Mami Wata and bring up the sacred vase. Public reading of the ancestors' messages in the Duala language. The most anticipated moment of the Ngondo.

🛶 Grand Pirogue Race
A spectacular race of hand-carved giant pirogues, pitting paddling teams from all the Sawa cantons against one another on the Wouri River.
